Meegan & Tobin Light Up Big Band Once More with Joyous New Album Keep On Movin’
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, the Emmy-winning duo returns with a fresh collection of toe-tapping originals that salute the swagger and soul of classic big band.
Emmy Award-winning vocalist and composer Jeff Meegan and BAFTA-affiliated composer & orchestrator David Tobin are back with their most exuberant and nostalgia-soaked project to date: Keep On Movin’, a brand-new album that revives the golden age of big band music while keeping its feet firmly planted in the now.
Crafted alongside world-class arrangers Callum Au (Michael Bublé, Quincy Jones), Martin Williams, and Charley Harrison (Hollywood Jazz Orchestra), the album channels the brass-laced joy of the Great American Songbook with sparkling originality. Anchored by powerhouse vocalists Sara Niemietz (Postmodern Jukebox), Steve Memmolo (The Voice Season 15), and Meegan himself, the collection delivers a heartfelt, high-voltage reminder that swing isn’t just alive—it’s thriving.
From the sweeping optimism of “On Top of the World” to the footloose exuberance of “Dance,” Keep On Movin’ was conceived as a musical antidote to uncertain times—a radiant, mellifluous escape into joy, groove, and melody. “Each song feels like something you’ve heard a million times, but have never heard before,” says Meegan. “That’s always the goal.”
Recorded in a single electrifying session at Abbey Road Studio 2, the project features a full big band recorded entirely live—no samples, no machines, just real musicians playing in real time. The result is a sonic time machine that recalls the energy of Ella, the finesse of Sinatra, and the vitality of Harry Connick Jr.—with a twist all its own.
Meegan & Tobin’s music has been featured on Fleabag, This Is Us, The Equalizer, RuPaul’s Drag Race, A Million Little Things, NCIS, Big Mouth, and The Young and the Restless, among many others. In 2022, Meegan—alongside Brad Hatfield and Gaye Tolan Hatfield—won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song, besting nominees that included Beyoncé.
Together, Meegan & Tobin have written and produced over 1,000 works across pop, jazz, funk, classical, and film scores. Their creative partnership spans continents, studio sessions, and sync placements—most recently showcased in their sixth big band release with Audio Network.
As Tobin puts it, Keep On Movin’ is “a love letter to the era of showmanship, craft, and joy. It doesn’t take itself too seriously—but it’s serious fun.”
